| It's time to
set up the motor mounts for the "bad boy" Ford
Motorsports engine. The engine is lowered into the frame
rails and positioned in the chassis |
| With the
height of the engine set in the chassis, we begin the
fabrication of the mounting points. Using thick plate
steel, we fabricate the pads and weld them to the chassis. |
| With the
driver's side welded, John moves to the passenger side to
duplicate the process. |
| The motor
mount pads are now gusseted for strength and finish
welded. |
| The front of
the frame is notched to provide clearance for the steering
arms. |
| It's time to
setup the Aldan front shocks. Tony positions the shocks
and tacks the brackets in place. A rod is then run across
the width of the chassis through the top eyelets to ensure
that the mounting points of the shocks are square and
level. |
| It's time to
move on to the rear suspension installation. Tune in next
week for more pictures and info on the buildup. |
